If you are serious about learning how to start a group, or how to conduct your self if you are already in a group, I hope these few pieces of advice will help you understand. !. Have a strong team leader that knows what they are doing and why. 2. Always go on investigations as a group, and if there are enough people, then the team leader should pick members in pairs, or groups of three. 3. It is your responsibility to mantain your own equipment by checking the funtions and making sure all batteries are charged and that you have plenty of extra backup batteries. Keeping your camera lens clean. If you have long hair, pull it back away from your face. 4. Always carry a flashlight and batteries for it too. The flashlight is used for many purposes. 5. approach with caution, show the people you are helping that you are presenting yourself as a professional, after all you are representing your group. 6. Never, ever, go out on your own. refrain from drinking alchohol. wait untill all is done and you are in a safe place. Then maybe you and a few team mates may like to toast a good Investigation. 7. always show respect when on scene of an investigation. And it would not hurt to learn how to say the right words that can give comfort for a family if they have young children/child having the experience. 8. Remember walk don't run. Running shows weakness to the spirit. Also, it shows a level of unsureability on your behalf in front of those you are helping. 9. Be the best you can be. Learn all you can. Read and study. Because in this field it is always changing. 10. do your best to get along with each other. There just may be something you know that you can add to the knowledge of a good Investigation. Research on your own. Unless there is already some deligated to do that job. Enjoy your experience and share the ones you have had with others. And last but not least. Document everything. keep your own records. It comes in handy if you decide to leave a group and join another.
